The 5th Annual Southwest Ohio Summer Solstice Backgammon Tournament
Hosted by the Cincinnati Backgammon Players Club

What: Backgammon tournament with a $26 entry fee, paying 3 places. Three optional side pools will be offered, $10, $20 & $30. There is a 100% return on all entry fees and side pool money collected. A trophy will be awarded to the winner of the tournament.

When: Sunday June 26th, 2011 - registration beginning at 11:00 a.m. with the tournament starting at 12:00.

The tournament format will be double elimination with progressive consolation. All matches will be abiding by the ABT / U.S.B.L. playing rules (rules will be on hand at the tournament). All main bracket matches will be 7 points with the final playing to 9 points. All consolation bracket matches will be 5 points in length. Clocks will be used upon request or at the director's discretion.

 
Prize money will be split 50% - 30% - 20%, 1^st place being the main brackets undefeated player, 2^nd place the winner of the consolation bracket and 3^rd place goes to the loser of the final consolation match. Each player is guaranteed at least two matches. The side pool will be paid to the side pool participant who advances furthest in the main bracket. Please note side pools with 8 or more participants will be split 70%/30%, 70% going to the player in the pool advancing furthest in the main bracket and 30% to the player in the pool advancing furthest in the consolation bracket.

FYI. This tournament will count towards CBPC master points and the winner is automatically entered into the year ending CBPC Tournament of Champions.
